The first installment in a planned series of books aimed primarily at the independent reader (Grades 2 - 4). Join Louie the Lobster and his shrimpy pal Sammi as they set off in search of the true meaning of friendship. Louie and his underwater world are beautifully hand drawn using watercolor crayon, giving the characters and scenery a playful and inviting feel.

Second Book: Young Voices of the Nile

This is a collection of short stories written by the sons and daughters of the 'Mamas' (Ugandan staff) who work at the Amani Baby Cottage in Jinja, Uganda. The 'authors' in this collection are primarily from Grades 5 - 7 and come from Jinja and the surrounding towns. The book also includes the original hand drawn artwork by some of the authors. There are 31 stories or reflections by over 20 authors.
